Orin Swift Saldo Zin!
We've just received our 2010 allocation of one of the most exciting Zinfandels we've seen in a while - the second ever vintage of Orin Swift's Saldo Zin. A blend of wine from some of Northern California's greatest old-vine Zine vineyards (think Monte Rosso, Rockpile, etc.) with just a dash of Syrah and Petit Sirah. This is a big wine that recalls the top efforts from Rosenblum, Ravenswood, even Turley. Loaded with briary blackberry fruit and very rich and long, it's a fine companion to Orin Swift's The Prisoner.
