The new vintage of our best-selling Viognier is here, and it's fantastic! You might not expect delicious Viognier from Argentina, but Las Perdices has clearly figured out this fickle grape. Greenish-yellow color, floral aromas of peach and apricot. On the palate it is complex and unctuous, with a long finish with continued floral notes. Plenty rich, but also refreshing and bright. Perfect to accompany spicy dishes, fish, and Asian food, especially sushi.

Almost any other producer in the region would label this “Condrieu” and sell it for $45 per bottle or more. Villard makes this wine from younger vines planted in his various Condrieu vineyards – vines he deems too immature to give fruit with enough concentration and depth of flavor to include in his Condrieu. One taste if his declassified Condrieu and you’ll be hooked. Pretty floral aromas lead to loads of bright peach and apricot flavors followed by just a hint of mineral and smoke. Rich, but great energy and drive keep the wine refreshing.
